AI credits and pricing FAQ

What does one credit do?

One successful AI suggestion uses one credit, even if you do not apply it. A suggestion is not a finished chart. Failures and internal retries cost no extra credits. Manual editing, saving projects and exporting use no credits.

Do credits expire or renew automatically?

Purchased credits never expire. Each pack is a one-time purchase with no automatic renewal or top-up. Free monthly credits still expire at the end of each UTC calendar month.

What happens when my balance reaches zero?

Buying any pack permanently unlocks the current advanced exports: SVG, PNG up to 4,000 px, transparent backgrounds and no attribution. These exports stay unlocked at zero credits. This does not promise future paid features.

Can I still use ChartPetal for free?

Yes. Manual editing, saving and reopening project files, and 1,200 px PNG exports with attribution stay free. Your account still receives 10 AI credits per UTC calendar month.

For existing subscribers

Existing subscriptions and their paid benefits are honored. Manage renewal in your account. Credit packs are separate one-time purchases and do not change your existing subscription.
